We are currently using FA/CPR/AED American Red Cross for the course. This book and our course includes the new National Education Standards (NES) that follow the new CPR/AED scope of practice.
Skills Verification:
The final portion of the FA/CPR/AED course is the skills assessment. Once you complete the pre-work, you need to schedule your hands-on session at a convieent time. It is the student's responsibility to coordinate the time and date with the instructor of record.
COVID-19
We will be following the CDC’s recommended guidelines to keep our employees and students safe. In addition, we are taking the following precautions:
All workers will have their temperature taken before entering the building. Workers will sanitize and disinfect shared services frequently.
We encourage our students to wear masks or facial coverings, wash/sanitize their hands before coming to the building, and — most importantly — stay at home if they are feeling sick. The most important thing is to make sure we conduct training in a safe environment.
Meals:
All meals are the students' responsibility.
Clothing:
We will be spending a lot of time outdoors and we hope that you will want to enjoy some of the exciting outdoor activities when you are not in class. Hunting, fishing, wildlife adventures, kayaking, bear tours, sightseeing, and more. So be ready! The course will be held rain or shine, so participants should bring rain gear and warmer layers to account for unexpected cold or precipitation.
