I took a GEMS class for First Aid/CPR/AED last year, and then an EMT 1 course this year. Both were quality, fun learning experiences. I appreciated that even with the one-day First Aid/CPR class, Kenya still dove into the deeper physiological reasons for symptoms and procedures. The 2-week EMT 1 class covered much more material, but Kenya always took the time to unpack topics and approach them from a different angle if any student had questions. Amy Jimenez was assistant instructor for part of the EMT course, and I appreciated her unique perspectives and EMS experience. Both Amy and Kenya were wonderful instructors, and I highly recommend taking courses with them!

I took the EMT-I refresher course with Kenya as our instructor. I highly recommend her for any certification/re-certification requirements. Her teaching skills are very comprehensible and she takes the time to make sure the information she is presenting is clear to everyone! I've been in the health field for 20 years and this was definitely a well ran and very fun class!!!

Thanks Kenya! GEMS provides everything you need to know in a fun, interactive, in-depth way. Best CPR/First Aid I've taken - and I've been doing it for awhile!

It's a great educational and fun experience training with the GEMS crew. With knowledgeable educators and a lot of hands on training. You leave class with a good understanding of the topics discussed.

Kenya and Amy were two of the best EMS instructors I’ve had. They were patient, supportive and encouraging to all of us. They made time to work with everyone individually. An amazing class, really. Training with the GEMS instructors ensures success in a fun and practical way. Thank you Kenya and Amy!

Just thought I'd touch base and say thank you Kenya. Since I've been back I've responded to two separate incidents. One was a bike crash and the other was a car accident. I felt confident enough to respond to both scenarios - thanks a lot to your teaching. You've given me some important life skills. Although they aren't the best scenarios to be in, it feels great knowing I have the ability to do something.
